Ich hab' ein neues Sofa!
Naja, nicht ganz neu, aber es ist frisch bezogen. Schön schlicht. Neutral.
Den Stoff habe ich mir hier ausgesucht - die schicken einem auch Fühlproben, praktisch, das.
Und auch nicht so teuer wie andere Ausstatter, wo der Meterpreis bei 70 Euro startet und ein neues Sofa dann billiger wird als alleine der neue Stoff....
I have a new sofa! Well, not quite new, but newly covered. Simple. Neutral. I found the fabric here - they send you swatches to feel the different textures. I like that. And they are much less expensive than other stores which charge you 70 Euros or more per meter. A brandnew sofa would be cheaper than the fabric alone....
Den Polsterer habe ich über MyHammer gefunden - auch irre praktisch!
Natürlich werden jetzt einige fragen, warum hat sie das nicht selbst gemacht, sie kann doch nähen !??
Nun, Faulheit, Bequemlichkeit und Respekt, so etwas auch passend hinzukriegen.
The upholsterer I found with MyHammer - soo practical! Now some might ask, why I didn't do it myself !?? Well, a little laziness, convenience and a great portion of respect, to do something like that adequate.
Nun braucht das Sofa auch neue Kissen.
Mein großes Vorbild ist dieses hier von Nic.
Das würde bei uns vielleicht nicht ganz so wirklich passen, bzw. sind die y-Chromosomen-Träger in diesem Hause generell Neuem und Buntem gegenüber nicht so aufgeschlossen. Seufz.
The sofa needs new cushions. I simply love this one by Nic. Maybe not quite the right one for our home, since the y-chromosome-holders in our family are not really open to new and colourful things....sigh.

Also frühlingsfrisch! Gerade meine Lieblingsfarbe!
I started with two small and simple ones. Green. Fresh and springlike green. Love that colour at this time of year.
Aber auf dem Zuschneidetisch grünt es ganz außerordentlich und es kommen ganz sicher noch einige Kissen dazu. Müssen die Herren eben Sonnenbrillen tragen! Phhhh!
As you can see I gathered a lot of greens on my cutting table and there are more pillows to come. For sure. The men of our family just have to wear sunglasses. Phhhh!

Sucht? Addiction?
Gretelies-Tasche #4 für mein großes Kind.
Selbst zusammengestellt und möglichst schlicht.
Katze musste aber sein. Ist bei uns halt ein ECHTES Thema! *g
Bag # 4 for my 10-year-old. She chose the fabrics and the embroidery, - cats are still a big issue around here...;o)
Metallstoff in schoko, gefüttert mit Fliegenpilzstoff in hellblau.
Metal fabric in chocolate brown - yum - lined with lightblue fabric with mushrooms.
Und ein 'Ninni' als Taschenanhänger - danke, Ulli, für die süße Idee!

Workshop!

Am Samstag, den 4ten April gibt es doch noch einen
Farbenmix-Workshop bei Kleinkariert!
Leider ist es mir aus beruflichen Gründen nicht mehr möglich, diese Workshops regelmäßig zu veranstalten! Deshalb in diesem Frühjahr nur diesen einen Termin.
Anmeldung bitte bei Ursula Seiler oder bei mir.
Fragen beantworte ich natürlich auch gerne!

The 3rd bag finally is for ME!
Metallstoff in aqua, bestickt mit den Vögelchen von Nic.
Gefüttert mit Bizzkids Punktestoff in rot.
Metal fabric in aqua, embroidery by Nic.
Lined with a thin dotted red fabric by BizzKids.
Lustig ist auch, wenn man auf dem Stoffmarkt plötzlich überall schöne Futterstoffe wie diesen für Gretelies-Taschen entdeckt *lach!
Funny, when you're at the market seeing nice lining fabrics like this for Gretelies-bags EVERYwhere *lol!

Brrrrrrrrrr....
...war das kalt!!! Und irre voll!
..it was ICECOLD and totally crowded!!!
Stoffmarkt Hamburg:
Nachdem die letzte Herbstsaison aus verschiedensten Gründen komplett für mich ausgefallen war, tat es trotzdem richtig gut, sich wieder ins Gewühl zu stürzen.
Ein paar Stoffe habe ich auch gefunden....
Fabric market in Hamburg:
After missing the fall season completely due to very different reasons,
it was a lot of fun going there today.
I even found some nice fabrics:
...und ein schönes Band.
...and a beautiful ribbon.
Selbst die Rückfahrt im voll beheizten Auto konnte meine Eisfüße nicht auftauen, so daß ich mich mit meinen beiden Lieblings-Wärmflaschen erstmal ins Bett verziehen mußte! ;o)
But even the full heating in the car could not defrost my feet, so after my return I had to crawl into bed with my two favourite hot-water bottles!

Und für mein fluffiges rotes Mini-Monster gab es auch einen in ganz klein. Aus Oilily-Katzenstoff. Dekadent, oder?? ;o))
And guess what? I even made a tiny one for my little fluffy ginger monster cutie cat. Made of Oilily fabric... Decadent, isn't it?? ;o))

war doch auch ein Grund ENDLICH einmal Annes wundervollen Schnitt auszuprobieren.
I wanted to sew the 'gretelies'-bag for quite a while -
there is even a flickr group called 'Gretelies' solely for this pattern.
